Business Center Zwijndrecht

Description

On business park Bakestein at Zwijndrecht, a flexible and multifunctional business centre is being realised. The articulated rectangular building is designed as a flowing mass with a 22 m high, striking overhanging head alongside the A16, and a lower tail section. In the head, with the huge overhang of the two upper storeys and beneath it a 3 storey high glass façade, showrooms and a Self storage are situated.

The tail with 2 storeys is made up of business units at the outside facade and immediately adjacent in de middle linear switched mega garages. Through different combinations of linking business units and mega garages a flexible and variable use is possible. The whole building is sculptural materialised in black masonry with glass completion and looks like a striking powerful volume.
